“Mozart on his Journey to Prague”
The center stage of the Musiktage Mondsee 2013 takes the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Our view of Mozart today is still affected by the period of romanticism. Poets like E.T.A. Hoffmann and Eduard Mörike and composers from Schumann to Tschaikowsky have idealised Mozart. The programme of the Musiktage Mondsee 2013 establish links between the big chamber music works by Mozart and the chamber music of romantic composers as Schumann, Brahms and Dvorák.
